Edit An Existing Page, or Post

You will need to make sure that you have logged into the site before trying to make any editorial changes. All pages, and posts can be edited using the visual editor or through the website dashboard. If you need to edit categories, excerpts, featured images, titles, etc. then you will need to edit with the classical editor using the website dashboard.

Please make sure to read the Editing Overview to get a better understanding of the Visual Builder.

Edit with the Visual Builder

***most pages can be edited in this way***

From the Website Frontend (what visitors can see)

  1. Visit the page, or post you wish to edit
  2. Select the purple button, Enable Visual Builder at the top of the page
  3. Edit the content of the page
    * If three boxes appear when you begin editing with the visual builder, that is 100% ok. It simply means that the event, page, or post was not initially created with the visual builder or that it hadn’t been enabled yet for this particular piece of content. You will just need to select the first option in blue, “Use Existing Content”.

  4. Save your work by selecting save in the bottom right hand corner. If you do not see the save button, select the purple circle with three dots and then it will appear.  Afterwards, you can close the window or select **”Exit Visual Builder” at the top.
**Please note, selecting “Edit Visual Builder” before saving your work will prompt you with a message to discard your changes or save your work, so it will always prompt you to save your work before exiting.

    From the Website Dashboard

This will allow you to see a list of all events/pages/posts on the site. Pages are primary website pages, while posts are blog posts, announcements, etc.
    3. Select the Edit Button
Hover over the title of the event, page or post you seek to update and select the edit button
